Help fund a mobile nature center to host environmental education programs throughout the valley for children and adults. Please read in depth about all our Wild Connections programs here and watch a video about 2009 Wild Connections programs here. ERC works with numerous partners including Blaine County School District, Sun Valley Adaptive Sports, the Hunger Coalition, the Sun Valley Summer Symphony, and private schools, to insure that every child has hands-on experience with nature.
Canine Clean Sweep
Dog waste offends the nose and eyes, and impacts the cleanliness of our rivers and streams. Fortunately for our beautiful valley, we've made significant strides in diminishing dog waste over the past several years thanks to a hugely cooperative effort between the ERC and our key partners. Now, the dog waste management program staggers under the weight of its own success, and with constantly increasing trail use, older metal bins need replacing and the partnering organizations need help with the cost of supplying and keeping the bins emptied regularly. See a map of all collection sites.
CO2MMIT To Take Action Fund
Help individuals and our community reduce carbon emmisions through local energy reduction, research, and carbon sequestration efforts. Read more about the eleven core topics the ERC is addressing here and see our slideshow below.
EcoCamp Scholarships
For five years, ERC has offered the only overnight ecology camp in the valley. Professional staff and days in the field offer solid environmental education but it is cloaked in exploration, games and lots of fun. Although camper fees are set below actual costs, many families still can't afford to send their child. When you support EcoCamp, you support the creation of a connected and engaged group of young people who will find the passion and possess the skills to made sound decisions about sustainability of our valley in the future.
