Executive Director: Molly! G. Goodyear

Molly!’s route to the position of Executive Director began many years ago. After a memorable river rafting trip on the Middle Fork with her family, it was only a matter of months before Molly! left behind the grime of New York City and moved to the area in 1989. Her long-time interest in the environment became a passion after experiencing the beauty of the surrounding mountains and rivers. That passion led her to pursue a Master’s degree from the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University, graduating in 1993.

Upon her return to Idaho, she became a Board member of the ERC and a founding member and first Board Chair of the Wood River Land Trust. Her environmental career has focused on fundraising and conservation with positions at The Nature Conservancy and the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative and previously as Executive Director of the ERC from 1999 – 2001. Molly! has also had experience running her own business (Goodyear Fine Stationery) and working as a veterinary technician at the Sun Valley Animal Center.

For those of you who are interested, the exclamation point on Molly!’s name has been there for over 30 years and is treated just like another letter in her name. Her husband, Mike Wolter, and 2 children, Peter and Ella, and three dogs are used to it by now.

Office Director: Lisa Horton

Lisa came to the ERC in the spring of 2008, after ten years as Adult Programs Director at the Hailey Public Library. Lisa's checkered background includes years of scientific research jobs, including microscopic studies of rice roots and environmental assessments based on epiphytic algae, tempered by stints as a pastry chef and restaurant owner. Lisa is a Southerner and she earned her B.S. in Bacteriology and M.S. in Plant Anatomy at the University of Arkansas.

In her off hours, Lisa rides a Harley, grows a mean garden and creates silver and bronze jewelry. Her latest obsession is learning Idaho's birds.
