Hailey residents enjoy free curbside recycling services. Additionally Hailey residents can save $140 each year on their trash bill by downsizing their 95-gal trash container to a 32-gal trash container.  By reducing waste and recycling Hailey residents can easily make a 32-gal container work for them and they can enjoy some extra cash in their pockets.

Recycling for businesses is provided free of charge only in Hailey.

The curbside program is source-separated meaning that you need to separate all your recyclables in specific bins and set these out at the curb for pickup. Recyclables collected at the curb include:

• Paper (newspapers, magazines, office paper, junk mail, cereal boxes, paper egg cartons, etc)
• Plastic products (HDPE and PPE #1-5)
• Cans (aluminum & tin)

Drop Offs

There are three drop offs in Hailey:

• Hailey Park-n-Ride (phonebooks from 11/16 to 12/17/2012; corrugated cardboard or glass , open 24/7)
• Hailey Fire Station (corrugated cardboard and glass, open 24/7)
• Hailey City Hall (compact fluorescent bulbs ONLY, open Mon-Fri from 9-5, also bins out back for plastics, paper, cans.)

There are other drop off centers around Blaine County but they do not all accept the same materials.
