We have officially booked the dates for our 2018 EcoCamps, and we couldn’t be more excited! This summer we will be offering two weeks of camp:

July 9-13: Environmental Outdoor Adventure EcoCamp

• Open to rising 5th and 6th graders

July 23-27: Environmental Outdoor Leadership EcoCamp

• Open to rising 7th-9th graders

This year we will be facilitating EcoCamp at the Galena Lodge yurts, 23 miles north of Ketchum. Campers will spend three nights in the yurts and one night camping or backpacking. For many campers, EcoCamp is their first nights away from home or their first time camping or backpacking.

Each year, overnight EcoCamps are two of the best weeks of the ERC’s summer. Providing an opportunity for youth to engage with peers and mentors in the outdoor environment away from the pressures of technology is something we are truly proud of and thoroughly enjoy.

Campers will participate in environmental education activities related to aquatic ecology, water quality, forest and alpine ecology, geology, wildlife biology, navigation and the Leave No Trace Principles and more! Activities include journal, play, art, team-building and leadership components.
