This 10-month AmeriCorps position, starting October 2014, offers an exciting opportunity for involvement with a wide array of environmental education programs and outreach initiatives. The Program Associate will carry forth an environmental education program for all the elementary schools in the district and implement a number of other youth programs. This individual will also facilitate several outreach initiatives for the community, such as community clean-up efforts. The overall goal is to raise environmental awareness, promote a more sustainable community and engage community members of all ages in hands-on environmental education activities and awareness initiatives that promote a greater understanding of our natural world.
