LUSH and ERC Staff pose together

In June, the ERC received a $13,300 grant from LUSH Cosmetics to support our Pesticide Action program which is working to reduce the use of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers in the Wood River Valley.

On Saturday, November 12 from 11:30am – 3:30pm, ERC staff (Hadley DeBree, Alisa McGowan, and Ann Parry) traveled to Meridian to spend an afternoon at the LUSH store. Located in the Village at Meridian, we spent the afternoon promoting awareness of ERC programs and initiatives to store visitors, as well as assisting in the sale of ERC-customized LUSH Charity Pot lotions. This was Idaho’s first LUSH Charity event and we loved every moment of it!

LUSH Charity Pot Lotion with ERC Label

LUSH Cosmetics is an internationally known retailer that sells handmade, environmental-friendly, and ethically-produced cosmetics. In 2007, LUSH invented a hand and body lotion called “Charity Pot.” 100% of the purchase price (every single penny minus taxes) goes toward supporting humanitarian, environmental, and animal rights causes locally and around the world. Since its launch, Charity Pot has donated more than $10,000,000 to 850+ small, grassroots charities in 42 countries – and there are no signs of stopping. For more information on LUSH products and its charitable giving program, visit www.lushusa.com.

The ERC would like to give a special thank you to Steve Dondero for generously providing the image used on the ERC-customized labels. This was truly a memorable experience for the ERC – one that none of us will forget for a long time!
