Youth Education: Summer Collaborative Programs

School is out, the bright sun is shining, and summer camps are in full swing. The ERC has been busy collaborating with local camps and youth groups during their summer programs.

Thus far, the ERC has provided programming during Higher Ground camps, The Hunger Coalition’s Lunch in the Park and Bloom programs and the I Have a Dream – Idaho Foundation summer programs. Local children have fine-tuned their recycling, wildflower identification, macroinvertebrate sampling and identification skills and more!

The ERC is very grateful that these groups invite us to share our environmental expertise with their campers! Immersing tomorrow’s leaders in the magnificence of our local environment will inspire a sense of stewardship in the next generation of decision makers! We are looking forward to continued collaboration with these groups throughout the summer and with the Blaine County Recreation District (BCRD) camps in August.

The ERC will offer two weeks of our own highly regarded EcoCamps at the Idaho Basecamp at the end of July. If you are interested in these camps please click here.
